Demo keypad enables membrane switch technology for human machine interface (HMI) to be demonstrated. Solution combines capacitive and IR technology into one board to display electromechanical, visual, and cosmetic features of switch technology. IR is also used for long- and short-range sensor key activation with audible and LED feedback. These sensors can be activated with use of bare hands as well as with obstructions, such as medical and industrial gloves.
