Details on $285,000 going to water trail projects around Michigan

The state has funneled $285,000 in federal coastal project dollars toward promotion and enhancement of water trails in six counties around Michigan. Four nonprofit groups and one county are sharing the grant money, which comes through the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration, according to the Department of Environmental Quality.
