Detroit store opening is Shinola's latest move in quest to reverse globalization

Detroit-based high-end watchmaker Shinola is opening its first flagship retail store in Midtown Detroit on Thursday, June 27, and plans to mark the occasion with a ceremonial ribbon-cutting at 5:30 p.m. That will be followed by a private store preview with local business and civic leaders, the company said Monday .
