Development Manager Category Information Technology City Leatherhead, Surrey, United Kingdom Position ID J05151485 Permanent Full Time Position Description The project requires a Deputy Development Manager to support the management of significant enhancements to the Galileo Security Facility GSF. The Galileo Security Facility GSF is a facility that is being developed throughout the FOC1 phase of the Galileo Programme providing management of the Public Regulated Services PRS to Member States and a Galileowide security event monitoring capability. The GSF is intended to provide an interface between EU member states and the Galileo core system for the management of the Galileo PRS service and Galileo Security Monitoring. This is an exciting opportunity to play a part in the development of Galileo, Europes satellite navigation system. The role will include supporting the management of a team of developers as well as working with the management team and the customers to ensure deadlines are met and issues are clearly articulated. Candidates should be capable of quickly picking up new concepts as the system is large and complicated, working to high standards of quality, and to agreed timescales either independently or as part of a team. Responsibilities will include Support to GSF Development Manager with the following activities Liaising between the project management and Design Authority. Tracking the activities of the development team Providing input into the change assessment process to establish future resourcing requirements Leading the development team to ensure alignment of priorities with client requirements. Managing the development team to ensure delivery and quality levels are complied with. Ensuring that developer tasks and testing requirements align with overall project schedule.
