With disparity in prices of petrol and diesel reducing, customer preference has been witnessing a slow but steady shift in trend in favor of petrol cars. Sales of diesel cars in India have hit a five year low this fiscal with only 33% of cars sold in the domestic market are powered by the cheaper fuel.
