Combined with 4-socket, 32-core Intel-compatible motherboard, HYPERSIM offers real-time simulation of power grids with more than 2,500 electrical nodes in less than 50 µs. Electrical grids integrating power electronic systems such as HVDC transmission, FACTS, and PV cells can be simulated in detail to evaluate electromagnetic transients and system performance. By simulating very large interconnected power grids, HYPERSIM can predict cascaded events, which may lead to continent-wide blackouts.
