(Telecompaper) US pay TV operator Dish has announced the launch of the Stop Mega Cable Coalition, formed to raise awareness about the substantial harm to the cable TV and broadband markets of Charter Communication's proposed acquisition of Time Warner Cable and Bright House Networks. The coalition includes a number of telecom companies, media businesses, public interest groups and trade association. The members' main concern is the potential creation of a duopoly in the cable broadband market, comprising Charter and Comcast.
