Staff are supported by local Country based offices We offer our staff a number of additional benefits and assistance For our activities in the European Space Agency, Serco Nederland BV is looking to employ a DocumentalistLibrarian to covers the operations, maintenance and evolutions of the Documentation Management System DMS, including processes, processes and the use of supporting electronic documentation management tool, for a given projectprogramme or organisational unit. This includes the following typical duties Regular review of the status of documents in the different archives and where appropriate register this information in the DMS database Document registration, distribution and archiving, as well as provision of reproduction services Process configuration controlled document changes and of official papers relevant to the activities of the unit Supporting users for retrieving documents from a local DMS DMSs from external partners andor industry, out of paper archives, other sources like ESTEC library, scanned documents on CDROM or via Internet, etc Provision of paper copies of electronic documents on request, creation of electronic versions of documents Management of original files Related support to project reviews Support to enhancements of the document management concepts and of future improvements The above tasks must be implemented in line with applicable configuration management processes and standards and in close collaboration with relevant CM authority. Qualifications and Requirements Applicants required a good educational background, degree preferred. Essential Proficient in the English language, both written and spoken Experience in controlling andor management of activities and resources in aerospace industry Good sense of contacts and communications, ability to interface at appropriate level with relevant actors within and outside of the Directorate Reliability, rigor and initiative in the execution of the assigned work Proactive attitude to solving problems, identify priority actions and to handle high workload Ability to work both autonomously and as part of a team within the boundaries of assigned tasks and stringent schedule Highly proficient in the use of modern activities and resource management support toolsdatabases of standard office automation support software packages including in particular advance usage of Excel MsOffice and in particular advanced use of Excel Experience as user of SAP and in particular ECC and SRM modules and familiarity with relevant ESA corporate applications e.g. esap is an asset Ability to rapidly understand and adapt to ESA specific context and environment including ESA corporate IT applications Sound and proven experience in documentation management Good knowledge of the specific activities andor organisation, of the applicable configuration management working procedures and support tools are an asset Desirable Knowledge of another official ESA language is an asset.
