Mary C. McKiel, Ph.D., standards executive with U.S. EPA in Washington, D.C., has been elected as 2013 ASTM International board of directors chairman. She has been instrumental in assisting EPA offices in using ASTM and other voluntary consensus standards, both in rule-making actions as well as in voluntary programs. McKiel has worked on various ASTM committees for 20+ years, has served served on ASTM International board of directors, and has also been vice chairman of board of ANSI.
