Driven by freight sales, Wabtec reports 9 percent earnings jump

As sales of freight-related products swell, Wabtec Corp. on Thursday reported third-quarter earnings 9 percent higher than last year. The Wilmerding-based rail manufacturer reported a net income of $99.2 million, or $1.02 per diluted share, for the financial quarter ended Sept.
