Profinet driver for controller applications addresses development of PC-based automation solutions for series machine manufacturing. Delivered as source code, driver utilizes Ethernet interface and facilitates implementation of individual Profinet communication solutions on standard PC. Also suitable for standard OSs, driver is configured via open XML interface, supports Profinet with real time (RT), and achieves cycle times of as little as 1 msec when using RTOS.
