EC clears Microsoft's USD 7.5 bln GitHub buy

(Telecompaper) The European Commission has approved Microsoft's acquisition of software development tool maker GitHub without conditions, saying there were no anti-trust concerns. "The Commission found that the combination of Microsoft and GitHub's activities on these markets would raise no competition concerns because the merged entity would continue to face significant competition from other players on both markets," said the EC in a statement.
