By law, products must comply with international EMC standards which have been developed to regulate electromagnetic emissions and the susceptibility of electrical and electronic systems. Striking a balance between EMC and competing design requirements poses major challenges to engineers. By including EMC compliant design at an early stage, additional costly development iterations can be avoided later on down the line. Simulation allows problems to be identifi ed and corrected early in the design process, before the fi rst prototype is built.
