Summary We require a customerfacing systems engineer with experience in Earth Observation ground segments and technical leadership to join our team based at our head office. Objective To lead technical activities on PDGSrelated projects and bids, for national and international EO programmes Responsibilities Duties Requirements Analysis Authoring Technical team leadership Technical customer interface Contribution to bid activities Initial activities may involve travel to Arabian peninsula Qualifications Experience BSc or higher in technical subject relevant to satellite systems andor Earth Observation 7years of relevant experience Leading technical team for implementation of ITbased system Working with formal requirements through project lifecycle Essential Skills Technical Team Leadership Systems Engineering e.g. requirements preparation system level design relevant to software ITbased systems IT Skills familiarity with Sys Eng tools an advantage Knowledge of Earth Observation ground segments Desirable Skills Software Engineering Development Familiarity with common emerging standards for webbased image data transfer e.g. OGC standards Familiarity with common tools used for systems engineering processes e.g. version management, requirements tracking, architectural design, etc. Qualities Team worker Independent, selfmotivated Outgoing and willing to take on challenges Further Details All roles within Telespazio VEGA have a defined closing date, however if a successful candidate is found before the advert expires the role will be closed early.
