To revitalize communities and strengthen local economies via cleanup and reuse of Brownfields sites, U.S. EPA selected 20 communities in 16 states to receive ~$4 million in Brownfields Area-Wide Planning (AWP) grants. Up to $200,000 will be awarded to foster work with communities on Brownfields planning and reuse in conjunction with community assets: housing, recreation and open space, employment, education and health facilities, social services, transportation, infrastructure, and commerce.
