We are currently looking for an EPSSG Science Support Consultant to support our customer in Germany. EPSSG Science Support Consultant Key Tasks and Responsibilities You will have the following responsibilities Preparation of algorithm theoretical basis documents for the generation of level 1 and selected level 2 products Preparation of product generation specifications Prototyping of product generation functions Generation of product contents specifications Preparation of test data Preparation of initial calibrationvalidation plans Contribution to the generation of performance budgets Conduct of internal studies related to mission requirements refinements Contribution to the initiation of scientific support studies and assessment of results from external studies System meetings and activities of instrument functional chain teams IFCT. Skills Experience You will have the following qualifications and relevant experience At least three years of experience in the field of remote sensing in one or more of the areas listed above Experience in sSatellite data processing of Optical, Microwave or Scatterometer data Very good skills in a higher programming language e.g. Fortran, CC, Java Skills in writing scientifictechnical documents Experience with the specification, development and validation of satellite data processing chains Experience with calibration and product validation methods and knowledge in radiative transfer would be an asset Good interpersonal skills in support of team work Fluency in English is mandatory.
