You will be part of a 3person team, where you will be contributing in the phase CD system engineering activities related to the specification, design and development of the EPSSG system. Your focus will be on satellite and operational related aspects within the system. There are 3 positions available, and this position is based in Darmstadt, Germany. Tasks and Activities The scope of work will include System engineering activities such as analysis and trade off, preparation and maintenance of system specification. documentation of system design and justification, support IVV ground segment level activities. Ensuring that operational aspects are adequately reflected in the system technical specifications and design for the satellite monitoring and control. Provide input and support to the customisation of the Packet Utilisation Standard PUS. Insure the respect of the quality based on ECSS standards Requirements management such as maintaining the system specification tree and baseline, analyse new versions of lower level technical documents, act as book captain for the System Requirements Document SRD, analysing comments and proposed changes while maintaining the traceability using DOORs. System Interface Control Documents design and maintenance. Maintenance of the EPSSG system level model using the Vitech CORE modelling tool Skills and Experience The following skills and experience are mandatory You have University degree in the domain of engineering, science, or equivalent. You have at least 5 years of experience in the field of engineering of space andor ground systems. You have experience of Satellite Monitoring and Control using ECSS PUS standards services. You are capable to prepare system requirements and design documents, and to perform systemlevel analyses for complex polar satellite systems. You have experience of requirements management using formal configuration control proceduresprocesses. You have experience of writing technical requirements preferably to ECSS standards You have experience of establishing and maintaining traceability between different levels of technical specifications. You have experience of interface management and definition. You are familiar with mechanisms and tools for detailed interface definition. You have demonstrated capability to prepare and manage ICD. You have experience in system modelling You have experience of interface management and definition. The following skills would be highly desirable You are familiar with the CORE design tool from Vitech. You are familiar with Model Based Systems Engineering MBSE You have experience with DOORs.
