ACS is looking for the Consultancy support in the field of system planning and coordination to support system development of the EPS second generation EPSSG. ACS has more than 30 years experience in delivering solutions for Earth Observation satellites Ground Segments. Based in Rome, Italy and in Darmstadt, Germany, we delivered systems currently in operation in 20 countries worldwide and have a long record of successful projects carried out for ESA, EUMETSAT, EMSA and many other Space Agencies and Research Centres. The tasks and responsibilities of the key person to be undertaken during the EPSSG Phase B and Phase C will typically include the following Maintain the system development logic covering all system elements, up to the time of the handover of the last satellite to the Operations Department Maintain a detailed system development schedule in coordination with all subsystems and partners, together with a critical path analysis of each version of the schedule Identify all interactions between subsystems and partners, and associate them with main system development milestones and the program work breakdown structure Provide inputs to the sections of the System Development Plan concerning system development logic, schedule and interactions Prepare and maintain Interactions Documents for partners, defining all interactions between subsystems, together with their need dates. Interactions will cover such areas as Deliverables hardware, software, databases, documentation, algorithms, test data sets, tools, configuration statuses, Support mutual review support, joint test and operational rehearsals preparation and execution, test data analyses, Access to services, sites, facilities, infrastructure and interfaces Manage the configuration of all schedule and Interactions Documents versions Follow up all subsystem developments and participate in any necessary meetings and reviews Track progress against agreed development plans and Interaction Documents and signal any likely or identified deviations from these plans, together with proposals to reduce the impact of any delays Provide regular summary reports on system development progress against the development schedule and the status of interactions SKILLS Mandatory University degree in the domain of engineering, science, or equivalent At least 5 years of experiencein the field of largescale system development Demonstrated ability to define system development logic and schedules and successfully implement them Demonstrated ability to understand the technical aspects of system components and their development constraints Proficiency with MSProject The key person shall be able to analyse complex development schedules, identify critical areas and produce accurate and concise analyses and recommendations. He she shall be used to working in a rigorous manner with formal configuration management of schedule versions. The working language at EUMETSAT is English and fluency in English is required.
