Space Applications Services performs and supports system and software engineering for the European Space Agency ESA, National Space Agencies and the aerospace industry. We are involved in international manned unmanned spacecraft programmes, earth observation, science, exploration, communications and related technology development. We require staff, wishing to join our team to work in a dynamic international environment. Tasks and Responsibilities The work will be performed at the European Space Operations CentreESOC in Darmstadt, Germany. For the support of the management of the information security service for the Missions Operations Infrastructure MOI Ground facilities Operations services domain to ensure compliance with ESA Security Directives. The position includes the following tasks and responsibilities Continuous monitoring, enhancement and maintenance of the GNDF Domain internal processes. Configuration, Inventory and Asset Management. Change and Release Management. Incident and Problem Management. Business Continuity Management. Risk Management. Customer Interfaces. Service Provider Interfaces. Help Desk Function to this end, ITIL awareness is required. Furthermore, some previous exposure to and knowledge of the Ground Facilities GNDF Domain would be advantageous. Periodically review and update of MOI GNDF ISMS documentation Support the MOI GNDF Information Security Management System ISMS Manager and MOI GNDF PSSO for Management Reviews, including regular MOI GNDF ISMS status reports. Continuously support MOI ISMS Training and Awareness process. Maintain, monitor and guard the MOI GNDF infrastructure to guarantee confidentiality, integrity and availability. Provide feedback on improvements and noncompliances. Ensure QMS and ISMS crossreferences are accurate. Provide support in incident handling and enforcing SECOPS procedures. First line GNDF ISMS user support. Qualifications and Experience Applicants should have a Bachelor degree in a relevant discipline and 7 years of experience in Operations Engineering activities. Furthermore, candidates are required to have following skills Experience in activities applicable to ground segment operations engineering. Fluency in English, both in speech and writing. Coordinate and interact with other service providers in operations and other fields. Able to work independently. Experience dealing with external interfaces. Familiarity with ESTRACK. The ability to multitask efficiently. The position is located on site at ESOC and will include occasional European travels.
