EU supports rehab of Caroni lands

In keeping with its on-going commitment to provide support to food production and agriculture and assist in restructuring of the sugar industry, the Delegation of the European Union has launched a project to study and to alleviate problems related to drainage and irrigation on Caroni lands. This is the first phase of the project, which will specifically assess drainage and infrastructure at the Felicity agricultural site in Central Trinidad, followed by development of a water management and irrigation system.
