EXCLUSIVE: Cuomo urged to keep MTA boss Tom Prendergast

Gov. Cuomo not only has to decide how to fund the MTA - he has to decide who will run it. Metropolitan Transportation Authority Chairman Thomas Prendergast has only been at the helm of the nation's largest transit system since June 2013 - but his tenure expires June 30. That's because Prendergast was appointed to complete a term initially granted to former chairman Jay Walder, who resigned in 2011 after just two years.
