The Payload Data Generator PDG is intended to support the EUMETSAT Ground Segment EUM GS development in particular the verification and validation of the Instrument Data Processing Facility IDPF. Beyond that further Software development activities are planned regarding MTG subsystem simulation and ground segment data processing of the postEPS ground segment. Task Descriptions Responsible for the Software Development of Payload Data Generator PDG. In particular you will be in charge of the analysis, coding and testing of algorithms described in textual form, andor by equations and with parameter data lists. Mainly simulating the impact of the overall MTG data acquisition chain encompassing the geometric, radiometric and spectral deformations, but also a few other types of processing like spatial resamplingremapping and data fusion functions which aim at adapting the sampling and map projection of external data to be prepared for the MTG instrument data generation. Integration, Verification, Validation and Qualification of the PDG. Documentation Detailed Design, Test ProceduresReports, User Manual. Being able to use the Payload Data Generator PDG, e.g. for user support and training. Planning, preparation and conduction of the SW development for processing prototypes and operational processors for the postEPS ground software. Support to software development for MTG subsystem simulation.
