East Bay businesses can get rebate for energy programs

A special energy-efficiency program of PG&E and the state Public Utilities Commission is offering energy assessments for small- to medium-size businesses in Contra Costa and Alameda counties that can lead to rebates of up to 50 percent of the cost of installing more efficient equipment. Restaurants, small businesses, offices, retail, light industrial, auto dealerships, personal services and financial services offices are good candidates for the rebates.
