East Memphis hotel changes hands

A little more than two years after it was renovated and reopened, the Marriott Memphis East hotel has been acquired by Ashford Hospitality Trust Inc. The 232-room hotel was acquired in 2011 by Noble Investment Group , which bought and renovated it for an estimated $20 million. Previously a Holiday Inn Select , the hotel reopened as a Marriott in November 2012.
