237 ABPZ20 KNHC 181128 TWOEP Tropical Weather Outlook NWS National Hurricane Center Miami FL 500 AM PDT Wed Jul 18 2018 For the eastern North Pacific...east of 140 degrees west longitude: A weak area of low pressure located about 1200 miles west-southwest of the southern tip of the Baja California peninsula is producing a small area of showers and thunderstorms. Development of this system is unlikely due to strong upper-level winds. This system is expected to move westward during the next few days. * Formation chance through 48 hours...low...10 percent. * Formation chance through 5 days...low...10 percent. Disorganized showers and thunderstorms located about 1000 miles south-southwest of the southern tip of the Baja California peninsula are associated with a tropical wave. Environmental conditions are forecast to become somewhat conducive for development of this system by the weekend while it moves quickly westward at low latitudes. * Formation chance through 48 hours...low...near 0 percent. * Formation chance through 5 days...low...20 percent. An area of low pressure is forecast to form late this week several hundred miles southwest of Mexico.
