774 ABPZ20 KNHC 271117 TWOEP Tropical Weather Outlook NWS National Hurricane Center Miami FL 500 AM PDT Mon Aug 27 2018 For the eastern North Pacific...east of 140 degrees west longitude: The National Hurricane Center is issuing advisories on Tropical Storm Miriam, located more than 1400 miles west-southwest of the southern tip of the Baja California peninsula. Showers and thunderstorms associated with an area of low pressure located about 450 miles southwest of Manzanillo, Mexico, are showing some signs of organization. Environmental conditions are expected to become more conducive for the development of this disturbance, and a tropical depression is likely to form within the next day or two while the system moves generally west-northwestward at around 10 mph. * Formation chance through 48 hours...high...80 percent. * Formation chance through 5 days...high...90 percent. $$ Forecaster Brown
