000 ABPZ20 KNHC 062303 TWOEP Tropical Weather Outlook NWS National Hurricane Center Miami FL 500 PM PDT Sat Oct 6 2018 For the eastern North Pacific...east of 140 degrees west longitude: The National Hurricane Center is issuing advisories on Hurricane Sergio, located a little more than 1100 miles west-southwest of the southern tip of the Baja California peninsula. A broad and weak low pressure system is moving farther inland over central Honduras and surface pressures continue rise along the Pacific coast. Therefore, tropical cyclone formation is not forecast to occur in the eastern North Pacific basin. However, widespread showers and thunderstorms containing heavy rainfall are expected to continue for the next few days across western Nicaragua, Honduras, El Salvador, and the coast of Guatemala, producing flash floods across much of Central America and causing mudslides in areas of mountainous terrain. * Formation chance through 48 hours...low...near 0 percent. * Formation chance through 5 days...low...near 0 percent. $$ Forecaster Stewart
