000 ABPZ20 KNHC 111149 TWOEP Tropical Weather Outlook NWS National Hurricane Center Miami FL 500 AM PDT Thu Oct 11 2018 For the eastern North Pacific...east of 140 degrees west longitude: The National Hurricane Center is issuing advisories on Tropical Storm Sergio, located several hundred miles west of the southern tip of the Baja California peninsula. An area of disorganized showers and thunderstorms associated with a trough of low pressure is centered a couple of hundred miles off the coast of southern Mexico. Some slow development of this system is possible during the next few days while it moves slowly west-northwestward, as long as it stays offshore the coast of Mexico. Further development is unlikely after this weekend since the disturbance will be close to, or over, the coast of Mexico. * Formation chance through 48 hours...low...10 percent. * Formation chance through 5 days...low...20 percent. $$ Forecaster Zelinsky
