000 ABPZ20 KNHC 272334 TWOEP Tropical Weather Outlook NWS National Hurricane Center Miami FL 500 PM PDT Thu Jun 27 2019 For the eastern North Pacific...east of 140 degrees west longitude: The National Hurricane Center is issuing advisories on Tropical Storm Alvin, located several hundred miles south-southwest of the southern tip of the Baja California peninsula. A tropical wave is producing disorganized showers and a few thunderstorms several hundred miles south of the Gulf of Tehuantepec. An area of low pressure is expected to develop from this wave over the next couple of days, and a tropical depression could form by late this weekend or early next week while the system moves westward to west-northwestward well away from the coast of Mexico. * Formation chance through 48 hours...low...10 percent. * Formation chance through 5 days...medium...60 percent. $$ Forecaster Berg
