000 ABPZ20 KNHC 031715 TWOEP Tropical Weather Outlook NWS National Hurricane Center Miami FL 1100 AM PDT Wed Jul 3 2019 For the eastern North Pacific...east of 140 degrees west longitude: The National Hurricane Center is issuing advisories on Hurricane Barbara, located about 1250 miles west-southwest of the southern tip of the Baja California peninsula. A large area of disturbed weather located several hundred miles south of the southern coast of Mexico is associated with a tropical wave. Although this system is showing some signs of organization on satellite imagery, it lacks a surface circulation at this time. Environmental conditions, however, are conducive for gradual development of this system, and a tropical depression is likely to form over the weekend while this system moves westward to west-northwestward at about 15 mph well south of the coast of Mexico. * Formation chance through 48 hours...low...20 percent. * Formation chance through 5 days...high...80 percent. $$ Forecaster Avila
