371 ABPZ20 KNHC 051130 TWOEP Tropical Weather Outlook NWS National Hurricane Center Miami FL 500 AM PDT Fri Jul 5 2019 For the eastern North Pacific...east of 140 degrees west longitude: The National Hurricane Center is issuing advisories on Hurricane Barbara, located nearly 1500 miles west of the southern tip of the Baja California Peninsula. A broad area of low pressure is located several hundred miles south of the southwestern coast of Mexico. Satellite images indicate that the shower activity has not become any better organized since yesterday. However, environmental conditions are still conducive for development and a tropical depression is likely to form this weekend as the system moves west-northwestward at about 15 mph, remaining well off the coast of Mexico. * Formation chance through 48 hours...medium...60 percent. * Formation chance through 5 days...high...90 percent. $$ Forecaster Avila
