000 ABPZ20 KNHC 312331 TWOEP Tropical Weather Outlook NWS National Hurricane Center Miami FL 500 PM PDT Wed Jul 31 2019 For the eastern North Pacific...east of 140 degrees west longitude: The National Hurricane Center is issuing advisories on recently downgraded Tropical Storm Flossie, located more than a thousand miles west-southwest of the southern tip of the Baja California peninsula. A broad area of low pressure located several hundred miles south of the southern tip of the Baja California peninsula continues to produce disorganized showers and thunderstorms. Upper-level winds are forecast to be marginally conducive for development, and a tropical depression could form over the weekend while the low moves westward or west-northwestward at about 15 mph. * Formation chance through 48 hours...low...20 percent. * Formation chance through 5 days...medium...50 percent. $$ Forecaster Blake
