000 ABPZ20 KNHC 011148 TWOEP Tropical Weather Outlook NWS National Hurricane Center Miami FL 500 AM PDT Thu Aug 1 2019 For the eastern North Pacific...east of 140 degrees west longitude: The National Hurricane Center is issuing advisories on Tropical Storm Flossie, located more than 1400 miles west-southwest of the southern tip of the Baja California peninsula. A broad area of low pressure located several hundred miles south of the southern tip of the Baja California peninsula continues to produce disorganized showers and thunderstorms. Upper-level winds are forecast to be marginally conducive for development, and a tropical depression could form over the weekend while the low moves west-northwestward at about 15 mph. * Formation chance through 48 hours...low...20 percent. * Formation chance through 5 days...medium...50 percent. $$ Forecaster Beven
