000 ABPZ20 KNHC 141857 TWOEP Tropical Weather Outlook NWS National Hurricane Center Miami FL 1100 AM PDT Mon Jun 14 2021 For the eastern North Pacific...east of 140 degrees west longitude: The National Hurricane Center is issuing advisories on Tropical Storm Carlos, located just over 1500 miles west-southwest of the southern tip of the Baja California peninsula. An area of low pressure is expected to form in a few days a couple of hundred miles offshore of the coast of southwestern Mexico. Environmental conditions are expected to be conducive for gradual development of this system thereafter, and a tropical depression could form late this week or over the weekend while it moves slowly northwestward, roughly parallel to the southwestern coast of Mexico. * Formation chance through 48 hours...low...near 0 percent. * Formation chance through 5 days...medium...50 percent. $$ Forecaster Latto
