000 ABPZ20 KNHC 151118 TWOEP Tropical Weather Outlook NWS National Hurricane Center Miami FL 500 AM PDT Thu Jul 15 2021 For the eastern North Pacific...east of 140 degrees west longitude: The National Hurricane Center is issuing advisories on recently upgraded Hurricane Felicia, located about 750 miles southwest of the southern tip of the Baja California peninsula. A large area of disorganized showers and thunderstorms continue well offshore of the coast of southern Mexico in association with a tropical wave. Environmental conditions are expected to be conducive for gradual development over the next several days, and a tropical depression is likely to form this weekend well offshore of the southwestern coast of Mexico while the system moves westward or west-northwestward at around 15 mph. * Formation chance through 48 hours...medium...40 percent. * Formation chance through 5 days...high...90 percent. $$ Forecaster Latto
