Environmental conditions are expected to be conducive for gradual development thereafter, and the system is likely to become a tropical depression around the middle of next week while it moves west-northwestward or northwestward just offshore the southwestern coast of Mexico. * Formation chance through 48 hours...low...near 0 percent. * Formation chance through 5 days...high...70 percent.
