617 ABPZ20 KNHC 061140 TWOEP Tropical Weather Outlook NWS National Hurricane Center Miami FL 500 AM PDT Mon Sep 6 2021 For the eastern North Pacific...east of 140 degrees west longitude: Disorganized showers and thunderstorms within a couple of hundred miles of the coast of southwestern Mexico are associated with an elongated area of low pressure. Environmental conditions appear conducive for gradual development of this system during the next few days, and a tropical depression is likely to form by midweek while it moves west-northwestward or northwestward at 5 to 10 mph, just offshore the coast of Mexico. * Formation chance through 48 hours...medium...60 percent. * Formation chance through 5 days...high...90 percent. Another area of low pressure is forecast to form during the next couple of days well to the southwest of the southern tip of the Baja California peninsula.
