The growth will be driven by expanding to new markets and increasing its focus on local commerce and mobile technology. The company said it anticipates 15 to 19 percent annual profit growth over the same period and that its marketplaces business, which hosts external vendors, will handle USD 110 billion of sales, compared to USD 75 billion last year. EBay's PayPal service expects to double its payment volume over three years to around USD 290 billion in 2015. The group foresees that its sales in BRIC countries and emerging markets to quadruple over three years, with up to a quarter of its active users and more than 12 percent of sales to come from these markets in 2015. Overall, eBay said it expects to enable USD 300 billion of global commerce in 2015, up from USD 175 billion in 2012, including Markeplaces, PayPal merchant services and GSI global e-commerce merchandise sales.
