Ecolab buying Chinese water-treatment company

Ecolab Inc. said Tuesday it has bought a controlling stake in Jianghai Environmental Protection Co., a Chinese maker of industrial water-treatment products and services. St. Paul-based Ecolab didn't say how much it paid for Jianghai, which has about 550 employees at two plants in Changzhou and posted 2014 sales of $90 million.
