Edmunds.com reported that 3.05 million used cars would be sold in the month of May at a SAAR of 36.4 million. Strong credit availability boosted used-car sales during the month, which is also creating competition with new cars, according to Edmunds.com. The company also reported that the average new loan term during the first four months of 2014 was an all-time high of 66 months.
