(Telecompaper) Finnish operator Elisa has claimed a new world record with speeds of 1.9 Gbps over a test 4G network set up with Huawei. The record was set using Huawei's latest 4G technology. Elisa said it marks an important milestone towards 5G and delivering new services such as virtual reality over mobile networks. Currently, the maximum speed on Elisa's network is 450 Mbps, and the fastest available mobile broadband subscription offers speeds of up to 300 Mbps.
