Emerson said Monday it expects third-quarter sales to decrease 11 percent compared with the prior-year period, as a drop in oil prices, a global slowdown in capital spending and strength in the U.S. dollar affect its bottom line. Emerson said orders in all its segments would be down up to 20 percent for March, April and May. Process Management, Industrial Automation and Network Power are to be the hardest hit, Emerson said.
