Responsibilities The Engineer, Ground Systems will innovate and efficiently implement the ground systems for SES future High Throughput Satellites. HeShe therefore shall have outstanding experience as pragmatic systems engineer in the Radio Frequency Satellite Communications domain as well as effective and handson project implementer owning all stakeholder relations. The Ground Systems Engineer shall also Successfully lead the analysis, design, specification and implementation of SESs Next Generation Teleport Communications Systems Ground Monitoring Control and any other kind of Monitoring Systems any ground system that SES needs to fulfil their mission on a global basis. Efficiently own, followup and implement the related full project life cycles, including requirements collectiondefinition for all system aspects of the final function project setup incl. budgeting and budget ownership during the project execution projectprogram management including designdevelopment or procurement identifying and managing the required resources e.g. contractors and suppliers in an integrated approach towards the internal or external stakeholders proactive operational 2nd3rd level and sales engineering support as required. This includes the successful deployment andor design of e.g. fix and mobile earth station and teleportgateway solutions for videodata transmissions includes antenna, HPA, waveguide, switch matrix, converters, modulators, electrical optical interfacility links as well as DVB or VSAT broadband or broadcast platforms contentdataIFRF spectrum measurement and monitoring and control systems building or IT infrastructure as required for such ground based systems. Systems Engineering means to perform transmission analysis, in particular linklevel budget calculations, blockdesign drawing and other detailedcomplex studies of any SatCom system in support of business development, customer services. It includes as well the RFP documents generation or the preparation and execution of factory and site acceptance tests. Experience Qualifications a recognized ElectricalTelecommunications Engineering degree BSMS or similar with a deep knowledge of RF and telecom theory minimum of 5 years relevant handson engineering experience and worked successfully as Development or Systems Engineer and as Project Manager handson engineering experience in satellite ground systems engineeringproject management and systems installation and testing handson experience in RF measurement techniques, test and verification of ground stations and auxiliary systems knowledge and expertise in auxiliary systems like Network IP, switching, routing, Monitoring and Control systems, power, HVAC and civil engineering proven experience in tools like Word, Excel, Excel VBA, Powerpoint, MS Project, Visio, AutoCad, Lotus Notes, Windows and Linux or similar software development skills in Keysight VEE, Postgres SQL, CC, Mathlab being a valuable asset fluency in written and oral English. Other languages are considered as valuable assets able and willing to integrate into an international environment, to travel internationally, and to communicate with international peers and customers demonstrate high selfstarter qualities and a high motivation to do projects effective and autonomously without direct guidance or direct supervision awareness of and be able to evaluate relevant technological developments, market trends, competitive factors, standardisation licensing and regulatory aspects.
