Engineer, Ground Terminal United States Manassas, Virginia ROLE DESCRIPTION SUMMARY As the Engineer, Ground Terminal you will be a key member of the SES Networks Ground Systems Engineering team assisting technical leads in the development, deployment, and support of SES Networks customer MEO and GEO customer terminals. The engineers primary objective is to ensure SES Networks customers have the highest quality terminals systems available and meeting the companys system performance requirements. PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES KEY RESULT AREAS Participate on a multidiscipline product focused team to ensure timely and accurate project delivery Perform system engineering design and analysis in support of the SES Networks customer terminal in an operational environment Communicate status of ongoing projects to technical and nontechnical stakeholders Develop and validate ground terminal implementation, integration, and certification processes Provide technical direction to subcontractors and vendors in product lifecycle support of MEO Ka compatible antennas, RF components, and baseband equipment Develop and deploy automated testing techniques in our various Lab environments that can be applied to production Develop forwardlooking designs that support implementation of evolving SES Networks products and capabilities COMPETENCIES Customer focus Problem solving Selfstarter Oral and written communication Team player Leadership Prioritization Detail oriented Global cultural awareness QUALIFICATION EXPERIENCE Minimum Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering, Telecommunications Engineering, Computer Science, or similar required education can be substituted for experience Minimum 5 years of experience in the satellite or telecommunications industry Ability to travel, up to 10 of the time required Knowledge of LinuxUnix and Windows operating systems required ExcellentGood command of MS Office package Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Visio required Knowledge of satellite or telecommunications experience required Knowledge of programming language such as Python, Go, JAVA, or other relevant languages preferred Knowledge of internetbased network connectivity principles and implementation preferred Understanding of GEO, MEO, and LEO telecommunications satellite technologies and systems preferred Whats in it for you?
