You decide on key operational activities and schedule and prioritize the tasks to reduce bottle necks in the workflow. You closely coordinate with other operational departments and delegate for the Manager, Ground Operations Europe in his absence. You will be expected to support during mission periods and during staff shortages such as holiday periods and unexpected staff shortage. This may involve shift work. Your Responsibilities Ensure all SSG operational targets are met worldwide with TTC, HTS and Video services Be the Station Support Group central point of contact for Missions and Projects Assign tasks, followup and ensure implementation by the SSG team Schedule, track and ensure training of the SSG team Contribute input to Ground Infrastructure management to support strategic decision taking Participate and provide key input to ground system projects ensuring final systems are operationally safe and lead to the highest availability Identify and motivate required Engineering changes and support executing them Take leading ownership and responsibility for complex operational systems Lead all Ground Operations activities in LEOP, BOL and other missions Act as operational lead and 1st line escalation for Ground operations Proactively maintain the BTZ and backup stations in an excellent state, perform detailed station checks each day Your Experience Qualifications Electrical or Telecommunications Engineering degree Minimum 10 years handson experience in RF measurement techniques, operation and test and verification of ground stations and auxiliary systems Indepth knowledge of Earth Station systems, equipment and operations Proven flexibility and reliability in delivering successful ground operations globally without direct supervision Holistic approach in process and procedures design, operating and troubleshooting considering all stakeholders interest ExcellentGood command of MS Office package Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Visio, Autocad, Excel VBA, Windows and Linux or similar Excellent written and verbal communication skills, in English, other languages are considered as valuable assets Effective communication and presentation skills in working with both technical and nontechnical support staff Willingness to travel internationally when required and to communicate with international peers and customers NATO or EU SECRET clearance.
