(Telecompaper) Entel has launched its LTE network and 4G services in Chile. The operator will use the 2600 MHz frequency band to provide 4G services on the local market. Entel used Ericsson equipment fFor its LTE network deployment. Entel will initially provide its 4G LTE services to 10,000 customers, who are currently using its Multimedia Full tariff plan and own a mobile phone that works in the 2600 MHz band. These subscribers will be automatically upgraded to the 4G LTE service with no additional fee. Over the next few weeks, Entel estimates to expand its LTE offering to 31,000 customers.
