Ericsson opens 5G Proof of Concept Network, Garage

(Telecompaper) Ericsson has officially opened the Ericsson 5G Proof of Concept Network and Ericsson Garage in Aachen, Germany. The 5G Proof of Concept Network connects key 5G trial sites and enables Ericsson to collaborate on research and use case testing involving early 5G technology to establish proofs of concepts for industry. The use cases being powered by the 5G trial facility include adaptive smart grids, connected self-driving cars and industry factory automation. The Ericsson Garage will be a critical hub for the '5G for Germany' programme. The garage will provide an incubator space focused on innovation and prototyping.
