BusinessGreen: Over 1GW of offshore wind capacity was fully connected to the grid in Europe over the first half of 2013, industry figures have revealed. The European Wind Energy Association (EWEA) said 277 turbines have been connected between January and the end of June, delivering 1.045GW of new capacity, almost double the 523MW installed over the same period in 2012. The UK led the way with 146 turbines boasting 514MW of capacity connected from a series of new wind farms, including major projects at Gunfleet...
