Tiempo Development LLC, a Tempe-based software services company, has closed on a $2.2 million round of funding to hire new employees and market the company across the U.S. Tiempo received $1 million, with two $600,000 options, in its mezzanine round, which is between Series A and Series B. The new funding is from Dallas-based Cypress Growth Capital LLC, who offers royalty-based growth capital. The round is meant to get the company ready for its Series B funding, said Cliff Schertz , Tiempo CEO and president.
