Executive Council approves $13M state contract with FairPoint

FairPoint Communications agreed Wednesday to hold public meetings around New Hampshire to discuss its service levels before a newly approved $13 million contract with the state to supply Internet and telecommunications services goes into effect in July. "I think the hearings will be a great way to ensure there is public accountability," said Democratic Councilor Colin Van Ostern, who requested the hearings.
